New Jersey A4347 requires the Director of the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness to stockpile protective masks for first responders within 180 days of the bill's effective date. This stockpile is intended for use during military or terrorist attacks, or any other event necessitating protection from air pollutants and toxic gases. The director must consult with the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, county coordinators, and seek input from the New Jersey Hospital Association, EMS Council of New Jersey, and other emergency medical responders.
