New Jersey A4328 requires certified nurse midwives and physicians to provide pregnant women with written information on all available birthing options prior to the onset of labor. This information must be provided in English and at least seven other common languages. The Commissioner of Health, in consultation with certified nurse midwives and physicians, will develop the evidence-based information to be provided. The Commissioner must also ensure the information is understandable to the pregnant patient.
