New Jersey A432 mandates that landlords inspect their rental properties within 90 days of the bill's enactment to determine if they are served by lead service lines or lead water supply plumbing. Landlords must then disclose this information to tenants. Failure to comply with these provisions can result in a civil penalty of up to $500 per offense. The Department of Community Affairs has the authority to establish rules and regulations for implementing this act.
