Clarifies staff training requirements at long-term care facilities for care of LGBTQI seniors and seniors living with HIV.

The bill amends existing law to clarify training requirements for administrators and staff at long-term care facilities. It mandates training on caring for LGBTQI seniors and seniors living with HIV, and preventing discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, intersex status, and HIV status. The training must be provided by an entity with expertise in the challenges faced by LGBTQI seniors and seniors living with HIV. Two designated employees at each facility must receive in-person training and develop a training plan for the facility.
