New Jersey A4255 mandates that health insurance policies and plans, including those from health, hospital, and medical service corporations, commercial individual and group health insurers, health maintenance organizations, and various state programs, must cover pelvic floor physical therapy during the postpartum period. The postpartum period is defined as one year after childbirth. The benefits must be provided to the same extent as for any other medical condition under the policy or plan.
