New Jersey A4233 clarifies permissible motor vehicle window tint and mandates inspections.

New Jersey A4233 amends the state's motor vehicle law to clarify permissible window tint on vehicles. It prohibits driving a vehicle with tinted material on the windshield or front side windows to the left and right of the driver, except for the top six inches of the windshield or as authorized for individuals with ophthalmic or dermatologic photosensitivity. The bill also mandates inspections for permissible window tint and emissions-related items for passenger automobiles and noncommercial trucks.
