New Jersey A4211 mandates that creditors maintain the interior of vacant and abandoned residential property under foreclosure. This bill extends creditors' responsibility to include the interior of such properties to protect neighbors and prevent municipalities from bearing maintenance costs. The law also allows municipalities to adopt ordinances providing for fines of $1,500 for each day a maintenance violation concerning the interior of a vacant and abandoned residential property under foreclosure goes uncorrected.
