Introduced Text

New Jersey A4155 allows municipalities to designate restricted parking spaces for volunteer firefighters.

New Jersey A4155 permits municipalities with volunteer fire departments to establish restricted parking spaces for volunteer firefighters. These spaces can only be designated if they do not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. Municipalities would issue permits to volunteer firefighters, identifying a specific vehicle and the location where it may be parked. The permit must be displayed prominently within the vehicle when parked. Violators would face fines, with the registered owner or lessee responsible for towing and storage costs.
