New Jersey A4151 amends existing law to allow cemeteries to permit the interment of cremated pet remains. This interment must occur simultaneously with the interment of human remains, and the cemetery company must provide written authorization to the lot owner. The cemetery company must also list any charges related to the interment. Cremated pet remains cannot be interred in a columbarium or public mausoleum. The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
