New Jersey A4060 prohibits speculative development of warehouses until 500,000 acres of farmland are preserved.

New Jersey A4060 restricts speculative development of warehouses on active farmland until the State Agriculture Development Committee catalogs 500,000 acres of preserved farmland under farmland preservation programs. This bill takes effect immediately and expires upon the SADC's report confirming the preservation of the required farmland. An application for warehouse development may proceed if the applicant commits to preserving an equal area of farmland.
