Extends initial and renewal terms of property agreements between local governments and nonprofits for recreation and conservation.

This bill extends the initial and renewal terms of leases or agreements between local governments and tax-exempt nonprofits for acquiring and holding real property for recreation and conservation purposes. The initial term is set at a maximum of seven years, and renewals are also limited to seven years. However, longer terms of up to 25 years can be granted if good cause is shown, and terms exceeding 25 years can be approved by the Commissioner of Environmental Protection and the State House Commission.
