Establishes the NJHousing pilot program to provide rental assistance to New Jersey renters at risk of eviction.

The bill establishes the NJHousing pilot program in the Department of Community Affairs to provide cash assistance to rent-burdened households. The program will select 300 households through a lottery system, based on county and eligibility criteria, to receive monthly cash transfers for 24 months. The Department of Community Affairs will establish criteria for eligibility, including household income, risk of eviction, and rent burden.
