Removes capacity limit for community solar energy projects in New Jersey.

This bill eliminates the maximum capacity limit of five megawatts for individual solar energy projects participating in New Jersey's Community Solar Energy Program. Previously, each solar energy project could not exceed five megawatts. The bill allows solar energy projects of any size to participate in the program, expanding the scope of potential projects. The Board of Public Utilities will still set rules and regulations for the program, including standards for connection to the electric public utility's distribution system and provisions to minimize impacts on the distribution system.
