Introduced Text

New Jersey A3893 mandates penalties for economic incentive recipients who fail to meet program requirements.

New Jersey A3893 requires the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to establish minimum standards for administering economic incentive programs. The EDA, in consultation with other state agencies, must verify that each recipient has met all program requirements. Recipients who fail to meet these requirements must pay a penalty to the State Treasurer for deposit in the General Fund. The penalty is calculated based on the recipient's applicable tax rate and the value of the benefit or incentive.
