This bill amends New Jersey law to require the New Jersey Transit Corporation to respond electronically to written comments received at its electronic mailing address concerning proposed fare increases or substantial curtailment or abandonment of service. The corporation must respond to any comments received electronically. The bill also mandates that before implementing any fare increase for motorbus regular routes or rail passenger services, the corporation must hold at least 10 public hearings distributed geographically throughout the state.
