Introduced Text

New Jersey A376 allows counties to create a central registry for senior residents and provide emergency supply kits during emergencies.

New Jersey A376 enables each county to establish a central registry for senior residents, defined as those aged 65 and older, to voluntarily register for additional emergency assistance. Counties must conduct public awareness campaigns to inform seniors about the registry. The collected information is for internal use only and not subject to public inspection. Counties may also prepare emergency supply kits for registered seniors, with the contents determined by the county office of emergency management.
