New Jersey A3756 prohibits certain uses of perchloroethylene and trichloroethylene.

New Jersey A3756 prohibits all uses in commerce of trichloroethylene (TCE) and all consumer and commercial uses of perchloroethylene (PCE). The bill mandates that the Department of Environmental Protection adopt rules and regulations to implement these prohibitions. It requires facility owners or operators using PCE to protect workers from exposure. The bill exempts any uses of PCE or TCE preempted under the federal Toxic Substances Control Act. The provisions take effect immediately.
