New Jersey A3752 authorizes the State Treasurer to appoint an acting executive director for the Garden State Preservation Trust (GSPT) if the executive director position has been vacant for a year or more. The acting executive director would work with the trust members under the same authority as a regular executive director, with an annual expense not exceeding $150,000 set by the State Treasurer. The GSPT would retain all other oversight authority over the acting executive director. This bill applies when the executive director position has been vacant since July 1, 2021.
