New Jersey A3713 provides a tax credit for developing anaerobic digestion facilities that process food waste.

New Jersey A3713 offers a tax credit for the development of anaerobic digestion facilities that process food waste. This bill aims to reduce food waste and its environmental impact by incentivizing the construction of facilities that convert food waste into biogas. The tax credit can cover up to 50% of development and construction costs, up to a maximum of $250,000 per facility, and is capped at $15 million in total credits over six years. The Department of Environmental Protection will oversee the application process and report on the program's effectiveness.
