Establishes a pilot program for behavioral health care treatment and support services for emergency department patients.
The bill establishes a pilot program within the Department of Human Services to develop coordinated behavioral health care treatment and support services plans for individuals with behavioral health issues. Two hospitals in each Regional Health Hub will be selected to participate in the pilot program, with a preference for hospitals not affiliated with the Early Intervention Support Services program and those connected with the Regional Health Hub’s health information network.
