New Jersey A3568 allows DACA recipients to become law enforcement and corrections officers.

New Jersey A3568 amends state law to allow individuals who qualify under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to become law enforcement officers, State and county correctional police officers, and juvenile corrections officers. These individuals must meet the same requirements as U.S. citizens for these roles, including being able to read, write, and speak English, being of good moral character, and having no disqualifying criminal convictions.
