New Jersey A356 mandates that the State Treasurer, in collaboration with the Department of Human Services Title IV-D program administrator, conduct a judgment search on claimants of unclaimed property to identify those who owe child support. If a claimant is found to be a child support judgment debtor, the Department of Human Services is to notify the claimant and demand the surrender of the property or retain it until a demand can be made.
