Exempts personal information from redaction and nondisclosure requirements in certain public filings and records.

This bill modifies the exceptions to the nondisclosure and redaction requirements for public records in New Jersey. It allows certain individuals and entities, such as title insurance companies, mortgage loan originators, and candidates for office, to access unredacted voter registration files and other records. It also exempts specific types of documents, like campaign contribution reports and financial disclosure statements, from redaction. The Director of the Office of Information Privacy must identify and display all exceptions on a secure portal. The bill takes effect immediately.
