New Jersey A3429 ensures organ donor designation on driver's licenses or ID cards remains upon renewal unless changed.
New Jersey A3429 amends existing law to ensure that an individual's organ donor designation on their driver's license or identification card remains upon renewal unless the individual opts to remove it. The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission must provide the opportunity for individuals to designate as organ donors when applying for a new or renewed license or ID card, unless they have already designated as donors under state law. Organ procurement organizations authorized by federal law can access donor information electronically.
