New Jersey A3341 extends the cancellation period for home improvement and consumer goods contracts for certain consumers.

New Jersey A3341 amends existing law to allow consumers aged 60 or older, or those with an intellectual disability, up to five business days to cancel home improvement contracts, and up to three business days for certain consumer goods contracts priced at $500 or more. The bill requires all moneys paid to be refunded within 30 days of the cancellation notice and all goods delivered to be returned within 30 days. It also allows consumers to waive the cancellation period for emergency restoration services if they sign an emergency authorization form with a cost estimate.
