Expands cyber-harassment to include reckless online communications.
This bill amends the cyber-harassment law to include online communications made with reckless disregard for the safety of another, in addition to communications made purposely or intentionally. Cyber-harassment committed recklessly is a disorderly persons offense. If a minor under 16 is adjudicated delinquent for cyber-harassment, the court may order the minor, accompanied by a parent or guardian, to complete a class or training program intended to reduce the tendency toward cyber-harassment behavior or to bring awareness to the dangers associated with cyber-harassment.
