New Jersey A3169 prohibits public institutions of higher education from raising resident undergraduate and graduate tuition and fees by more than 4% over the previous academic year. This includes tuition and fees for students in graduate degree programs or professional studies programs such as law, medicine, business, dentistry, nursing, and pharmacy. The act takes effect immediately and applies to the 2017-2018 academic year.
