Allocates $10 million of CBT revenues for grants to manage and maintain lakes for recreation and conservation.

This bill allocates $10 million annually from constitutionally dedicated corporation business tax revenues to fund grants for lake management and maintenance. The Department of Environmental Protection will establish a program to issue these grants, prioritizing projects in the Highlands Region and Pinelands area. The grants can be used for stormwater and nonpoint source pollution management activities to improve lake water quality and recreational access. The bill requires the DEP to submit a list of funded projects to the Legislature for approval.
