Veterans in New Jersey are entitled to free admission and parking at state parks and forests.

This bill provides that certain veterans in New Jersey are entitled to free admission and parking at state parks and forests. The Department of Environmental Protection must set aside at least two percent of parking spaces, or at least three spaces, for veterans. The bill defines "veteran" as any resident honorably discharged from the Armed Forces or National Guard. The bill also ensures that disabled veterans do not pay fees for beach permits. The act takes effect immediately.
