Introduced Text

Requires nursing homes to submit certain cost reports to the Department of Health in their annual financial report.

This bill amends existing law to require nursing homes to include their most recent cost report submitted to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in their annual financial reports to the Department of Health. The bill also revises ownership interest thresholds from 10 percent interest or greater to any amount of ownership interest. The Commissioner of Health is to prepare and submit a report containing the information received from nursing homes to the Governor, the Legislature, and the State Comptroller, which report is to be published on the Internet website of the State.
