New Jersey A2972 authorizes attorneys licensed in the state to affix a seal on documents they validate, such as affidavits, acknowledgments, proofs, oaths, or affirmations. This seal indicates the attorney's authorization to perform such validations. The validation by an attorney under this bill has the same legal effect as if done by a notary public. The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
