New Jersey A2939 provides a property tax deduction up to $5,000 for honorably discharged veterans with a service-connected disability rating less.

New Jersey A2939 would provide an annual property tax deduction up to $5,000 for honorably discharged veterans who have a service-connected disability rating less than 100 percent. This deduction would be in addition to the $250 veterans’ property tax deduction currently provided for all honorably discharged veterans. The bill also mandates that the State Treasurer annually reimburse taxing districts for 102 percent of the amount of the property tax deductions granted to these veterans.
