New Jersey A2924 mandates monthly health and fire safety inspections for mobile retail food establishments.

New Jersey A2924 requires monthly health and fire safety inspections for mobile retail food establishments, such as food trucks, to ensure compliance with the State Sanitary Code and the Uniform Fire Code. The bill establishes standards for these inspections, which will be conducted at the base of operation of each mobile establishment. Municipalities may set inspection fees, but they must be equal to the cost of the inspection or the fee for non-mobile establishments, whichever is lower.
