Introduced Text

New Jersey A2841 allows the transfer of certain alcoholic beverage retail licenses when municipal land is annexed.

New Jersey A2841 establishes a procedure for transferring alcoholic beverage plenary retail consumption licenses when municipal land is annexed by another municipality. Under the bill, a license used on annexed land is transferred to the annexing municipality's governing body. The population limitation on licenses does not apply to these transfers. Additionally, the municipality from which land is annexed can issue a new license at public sale to replace the transferred one.
