New Jersey A2825 establishes criminal penalties for fifth or subsequent drunk driving offenses. A person convicted of such offenses would be guilty of a third-degree crime, punishable by fines up to $15,000, imprisonment for three to five years, or both. The driver's license would be suspended for 10 years, or 20 years if the offense occurs in or near a school zone. The convicted person must also satisfy screening, evaluation, referral, and program requirements of the Intoxicated Driving Program Unit.
