New Jersey A2779 amends workers' compensation and temporary disability benefits laws to exclude illegal aliens from coverage unless they were lawfully admitted for permanent residence at the time of employment, were lawfully present for the purpose of performing the employment, or were permanently residing in the United States under color of law at the time of employment. This bill also excludes illegal aliens from temporary disability benefits if they are not eligible for unemployment compensation benefits.
