New Jersey A2759 mandates video surveillance at MVC drop box locations for license plate returns.

New Jersey A2759 requires the Motor Vehicle Commission to install continuous video surveillance at all drop box locations for license plate returns. The surveillance must provide clear, high-definition coverage of each drop box and all individuals using them. Recorded footage must be stored, secured, and accessible for at least 30 days, exclusively for security and criminal investigations. Signage must inform the public of the surveillance. This act takes effect immediately.
