Transfers administration of programs for certain individuals with developmental disabilities from DHS to DCF.
This bill transfers the responsibility for providing services to individuals aged 21-29 with developmental disabilities from the Division of Developmental Disabilities in the Department of Human Services to the Children’s System of Care in the Department of Children and Families. The Division of Children's System of Care will determine eligibility and provide support and services deemed appropriate. The Division of Developmental Disabilities will cease providing services for these individuals as of the date the Division of Children's System of Care commences determining eligibility.
