Introduced Text

Authorizes proportional property tax exemption for honorably discharged veterans with service-connected permanent disability.

The bill provides a proportional property tax exemption for honorably discharged veterans with a service-connected permanent disability, as determined by the United States Department of Veterans' Affairs. The exemption is in proportion to the veteran's disability percentage rating, with a cap of $10,000 for those with less than a 100 percent disability. Veterans with a 100 percent disability rating or those deemed unemployable due to their disability are exempt up to 100 percent without a cap.
