New Jersey A2677 amends existing law to ensure that a bill certified for a fiscal note or fiscal estimate cannot be released from committee unless the fiscal note or estimate is complete. The Legislative Budget and Finance Officer must transmit the fiscal note or estimate to the bill's sponsor, who has three business days to object. If the fiscal note or estimate is not complete, the bill remains in committee. This act takes effect three months after enactment.
