New Jersey A267 requires manufacturers to label the weight of ingredients in household cleansing products, including phosphorus, on the product's wrapper or container. It restricts the amount of phosphorus in these products to 0.5% by weight for dishwashers and 8.7% by weight for food and beverage processing equipment and dairy equipment. Violations of these labeling requirements or sale restrictions are subject to civil penalties.
