Exempts volunteer fire companies from paying annual charitable registration fees in New Jersey.

This bill proposes to exempt volunteer fire companies from the annual charitable registration fee required by the State "Charitable Registration and Investigation Act." The Attorney General currently sets these fees based on the amount of revenue received by an organization. Volunteer fire companies would no longer need to pay this fee, but they would still be required to register as non-profit organizations. The bill would take effect immediately upon enactment.
