New Jersey bill provides assistance to business accelerators and incubators and startup businesses within them.

The bill directs the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to establish and administer the "Startup Businesses in Business Incubators Development Program" to provide financial assistance and support services to businesses in accelerators or incubators. To qualify, these entities must be located within an urban transit hub or near a research institution campus. The EDA is to provide financial assistance to an accelerator or incubator in an amount that matches 20 percent of the amount of funding provided by a research institution up to a total of $200,000.
