New Jersey A2582 mandates that public utilities and pipeline operators reimburse municipalities for all actual and related costs incurred in providing emergency services to respond to pipeline emergencies. This includes the hourly wages of emergency services personnel, excluding volunteers, who are reimbursed at a rate equal to that of volunteer services under any applicable federal assistance program. The reimbursements are not recoverable from ratepayers.
