The bill establishes the New Jersey Low Income Household Water Assistance Program to provide water service and water bill payment assistance to eligible low-income households. The program aims to ensure affordability of water services, prevent disconnections due to non-payment, and restore service to households disconnected for this reason. Eligible households are those with a monthly income at or below 60% of the New Jersey State median income.
