Introduced Text

New Jersey A2484 allows jointure commissions to provide school bus transportation without public bidding.

New Jersey A2484 modifies existing law to permit jointure commissions to offer transportation services on school buses they own or lease to local school districts without undergoing public bidding. Previously, jointure commissions providing transportation services on school buses they own or lease were subject to public bidding requirements for any public school districts that were not member districts of the jointure commission as of January 1, 2004. This change aims to allow jointure commissions to provide transportation services in a more cost-effective manner.
