New Jersey A2477 mandates child care centers with audio-visual surveillance systems to retain recordings for 180 days and requires a review before.

New Jersey A2477 requires child care centers with existing audio-visual surveillance systems to keep recordings for 180 days. The Department of Children and Families or a designated third party must review the recordings before they can be deleted. This bill does not mandate the installation of surveillance systems in centers that do not currently have them. The act will take effect 90 days after enactment.
