New Jersey A2453 establishes a legislative internship program for students in accredited higher education institutions.

New Jersey A2453 creates a legislative internship program allowing members of the Legislature to hire interns with approval from the presiding officer of their House. The program is open to full-time or part-time students in undergraduate and graduate programs, excluding juris doctorate and PhD programs. Priority is given to New Jersey residents or those attending New Jersey institutions. Interns must complete a work period with a district office, set by the legislator.
