Introduced Text

New Jersey A2389 allows credit card, debit card, or other electronic payment for bingo, raffles, and penny auctions.

New Jersey A2389 permits the use of credit cards, debit cards, or other electronic payment methods for the sale of shares, tickets, or rights to participate in legalized games of chance such as raffles, bingo, and penny auctions. The Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission must adopt regulations to accept these electronic payments. This change updates the current law, which does not expressly permit the use of credit card or electronic payments for these activities. The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
