New Jersey A2332 amends the state's laws to allow individuals diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to qualify for handicapped parking placards. To qualify, a person must be certified by a psychiatrist or psychologist licensed in New Jersey or a bordering state, or a psychiatrist or psychologist stationed at a military or naval installation in New Jersey who is licensed to practice in any state. The placards will be valid for up to 36 months and can be renewed.
